This is Ruthie's current list of wants and needs. This wishlist will be updated very frequently as her new needs arise! Last updated: November 15, 2008.

RUTH NEEDS:

• a larger carseat for when she gets too big for our infant seat
• clothes for 12-18 & 18-24 months

RUTH WANTS:

• a fun security blanket toy
• sign language cards for early communication
• puzzles with large knobs for taking apart and putting back together
• stacking cups to play with
• a pull toy to drag behind me when I walk
• a cotton monster, which I saw at a craft show with mommy & ran after!

RUTH LIKES:

• Willow Tree Toys, featuring classics
• Oompa, for wooden toys of all sorts
• Moolka, which also carries HABA, a wonderful, durable brand
• Etsy, which carries a lot of handmade gifts & toys by small businesses & artists.

General Guidelines: In an effort to reduce waste and preserve space in our apartment, we ask that gift-givers freely recycle toys and clothing--we love used things found at yard sales and thrift stores! If you prefer to buy new, we ask that you purchase toys that are made from sustainable materials--wood, cloth, rubber, etc. Avoiding plastic and toys that require batteries is a priority for us.

Most of all, Ruthie benefits more from your presence than your presents. A visit would be the best gift of all!
