Ruthie and the Oobleck

oobleck

Ruth is eating all kinds of new foods every day now, with mixed results.

Despite the look on her face in this picture, she does a good job of eating all her peas. Just yesterday, we fed her pancakes (which she promptly mushed into paste with her hands), blueberries (she made a face at the sour ones), and pineapple (delish!). She's a regular eater of bananas, oatmeal, applesauce, graham crackers, and even chews on the whole apples that mom & dad like to eat.

It's a new frontier, I tell you!

And with that first tooth coming in, that means we can expand her world even more. Who knows what kinds of food-pickyness troubles are ahead!

For those of you who don't know what "oobleck" is, read Bartholomew and the Oobleck, by Dr. Seuss. It's one of my absolute favorite children's books.
